Dear all,

I am writing to share a call for papers for the ICML 2026 Workshop on "Foundations of Deep Generative Models: Understanding Memorization, Generalization, and Reasoning" (FDGM), which I am co-organizing.

The workshop aims to bring together researchers to advance the theoretical understanding of modern generative models and their behavior — including topics such as memorization, generalization, reasoning, diffusion models, and related foundations.

We welcome submissions of recent work in related areas, including both published and unpublished papers.

We would be very grateful if you could consider submitting your work, or forwarding this call to colleagues and collaborators who may be interested.

Looking forward to your contributions!

Best regards,

Wei Huang RIKEN AIP / ISM

On behalf of the FDGM 2026 organizing committee
