We are looking for a PhD student in the following areas:

- Reinforcement Learning
- Approximate Bayesian Inference
- Fairness and Privacy
- Multi-agent systems

= Position details=
-  Host Institution: University of Neuchâtel 
- Location: Neuchâtel, Switzerland.
-  Application Deadline: 5 July 2026. However, applications will be reviewed as they come in.
- Start Date: September 2026 or later upon agreement.
- Duration: 4 years, at 70%

= Candidate Profile =

- Required: A Master’s degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, data science, artificial intelligence, economics, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Required: Good background in AI/ML/statistics/mathematics.
- Required: Fluency in English.
- Good-to-have: Programming skills.
