Hi everyone,
Following the successful conclusion of the New York AI Agents Summit held at CUNY (outcomes from the Summit can be seen on LinkedIn here), we would like to invite researchers, practitioners, and students to join our open-source AI Agents Research Group.
Our Mission & FocusOur goal is to bridge the gap between academia, industry, and government to answer fundamental questions in control, imitation learning, multi-agent RL, game theory, data, and systems. Specifically, we explore how much data is needed to train AI agents to effectively plan, reason, navigate, reduce hallucinations, and safely explore the real world.
In this open-source community, participants can collaborate, attend expert seminars, participate in reading groups, brainstorm, and mutually upskill.
To join the community, access our Google Group, and receive invitations to our upcoming sessions, please feel free to share this initiative with your network where any new member can apply to join us in our Google Forms on our open-source AI Agents Research Group Currently we have over 1000 participants. Our focus is on real-world applications where AI agents are not merely tools, but instead learn new actions in:
- Autonomous scientific discovery (quantum, material, protein, and math domains)
- Energy orchestration
- NextGen internet and robotics
- AR/VR
- Economic and housing policy
In parallel, we have launched a Working Group of Experts to provide a unified vision for AI agents R&D. This ecosystem aims to improve research outcomes through collaboration with senior researchers across academia, industry, and government.
Upcoming Meeting & Call for Speakers
Our next session will take place on Tuesday, May 26 at 4:00 PM ET.
Call for Speakers: We actively welcome presentations from the community! If you have a speaker suggestion or research you would like to present at a future session, please fill out this Google Form.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
