Dear Researcher,

You are invited to join the ICFHR2022 Competition on Thai Student Signature and Name Components Recognition and Verification.

Website: http://icfhrsasigcom2022.epizy.com/

In this competition, we proposed the Thai student name components and signatures to be used to identify and verify each student who wrote the exam. Although, there are many forms of biometric approaches including but not limited to fingerprint, palm print, and hand geometry, student name components and signatures are an optimal solution in this scenario. Furthermore, as students will need to write their names on exam papers, regardless of signing their signatures, identify and verify themselves using their written name components may be used and hence signature signing process could be eliminated.

For ICFHR2022 competition on SASIGCOM, a larger dataset for student signatures is available. The dataset now includes 8,100 samples compared to 5,400 samples in the dataset used in the 2020 competition. This new dataset includes new samples (2,700 samples) that were collected from 50 participants plus the old samples (5,400 samples used in ICFHR2020 competition on SASIGCOM) that were collected from 100 participants. This bigger dataset is now ready to be employed in this competition.

Registration
The competition registration can be done by email. To register, please send an email to Abhijit and Hemmaphan at
abhijit...@gmail.com<mailto:abhijit...@gmail.com> and art.suw...@jcu.edu.au<mailto:art.suw...@jcu.edu.au>
with a subject line: "ICFHR2022 Competition Registration", your email should contain the following information: name, affiliation, phone number, and email address.

Participant Tasks
There will be four tasks, being:
   Thai Student Name Components:
   1.         Student identification (employing handwritten first
       and last names).
   2.         Student verification process employing Thai student
name components (handwritten first and last names).
   Thai Student Signatures:
   3.         Student identification (employing student signatures).
   4.         Student verification process employing Thai student
       name components (student signatures).

Results and program files submission
Each participant has to complete all of the tasks, then provide (email) a program file/s that can read the images from a directory then identify and verify students from their name components and signatures to the organisers via email (abhijit...@gmail.com<mailto:abhijit...@gmail.com> and art.suw...@jcu.edu.au<mailto:art.suw...@jcu.edu.au>) with a subject line: "ICFHR2022 Competition Submission".

Evaluation
The evaluation will be performed using the program files sent by the participants via email to the organisers. Evaluation will be performed using performance accuracy and Equal Error Rate as the performance measures.

We are looking forward to welcoming you to join in our competition. Thank you.

Sincerely yours,
