We are excited to announce that the Annual Conference on Parsimony and Learning (CPAL) (March 23-26, 2026, Tübingen, Germany) is now accepting applications for its Rising Stars Award.


This unique opportunity is targeted at last-year PhD students, post-docs, first‐year faculty, and early‐career industry researchers (within 2 yrs of graduation) who are pushing the boundaries in machine learning, signal processing, optimization, and beyond — particularly in areas of parsimonious and low-dimensional structure. cpal.cc

✅ Eligibility at a Glance
  • Full-time grad students in their final year of PhD, or post-docs/fellows, first-year tenure-track faculty, or industry researchers within 2 yrs of graduation

  • Working on topics aligned with parsimonious/low-dimensional structure in ML, signal processing, optimization, systems or interdisciplinary applications. 

  • Applicants from all institutions worldwide are welcome. 

  • One application per applicant.
