Important dates
Besides regular manuscripts and workshop papers, NCA 2026 welcomes contributions as demo, poster, and PhD Forum papers. Further formatting requirements and page limits are clarified later. All the deadlines are Anywhere on Earth (AoE).
l Demo/poster/PhD Forum manuscripts due: July 24, 2026
l Author notification: September 11, 2026
l Camera-ready submission: September 25, 2026
Authors are invited to submit papers describing original, previously unpublished work not currently under review by any other conference, workshop, or journal. Manuscripts must be formatted using the two-column IEEE conference proceedings template. Demo, poster, and PhD Forum paper submissions are handled via EDAS.
Demo papers
The NCA 2026 Demo Session provides a venue for researchers and practitioners to showcase the latest advances in network computing and applications through live, interactive demonstrations. We welcome demonstrations of working prototypes, innovative systems and applications, emerging technologies, and experimental platforms that highlight novel concepts, practical implementations, and research results relevant to the scope of the IEEE International Symposium on Network Computing and Applications (NCA).
The short paper should describe the research contribution demonstrated, the system or prototype being showcased, the demonstration setup, and any technical requirements. Accepted demo papers will be included in the NCA 2026 Workshops proceedings.
Demo proposals will be peer-reviewed through a single-blind review process.
Page limits include all figures, tables, and references. For demo papers, the page limit is 2 pages, and no extra pages are allowed. Submissions must be in PDF format.
Demo paper title must begin with “Demo: ”.
Poster papers
The Poster Session provides an opportunity for researchers to present and discuss emerging ideas, preliminary research results, innovative system designs, and ongoing work in the broad area of network computing and applications. The session is intended to foster interaction among participants by offering a forum for the timely presentation of early-stage research, encouraging constructive discussion, feedback, and collaboration. Contributions are invited on all topics within the scope of IEEE NCA 2026.
Poster submissions should describe ongoing or recently initiated research related to network computing and applications, clearly highlighting the motivation, technical approach, and expected contributions. Preliminary experimental or evaluation results are encouraged whenever available. As the work is expected to be at an early stage, submissions should also outline planned future work and the anticipated research directions.
Accepted poster papers will be included in the NCA 2026 Workshops proceedings.
Poster proposals will be peer-reviewed through a single-blind review process.
Page limits include all figures, tables, and references. For poster papers, the page limit is 2 pages, and no extra pages are allowed. Submissions must be in PDF format.
Poster paper title must begin with “Poster: ”.
PhD Forum papers
The NCA 2026 PhD Forum Session provides an excellent opportunity for PhD students to present and discuss their research, including work in progress, with the broader network computing and applications community. The forum fosters interaction among doctoral students and offers the opportunity to engage with leading international researchers, receive constructive feedback, exchange ideas, and establish valuable connections for future research collaborations.
The Forum will be organized as a workshop co-located with NCA. In addition, the Forum will be supplemented by a one-minute-madness session during the main conference, to facilitate extended interaction opportunities between Ph.D. student participants and researchers from academia, industry, and government.
Accepted PhD Forum papers will be included in the NCA 2026 Workshops proceedings.
PhD Forum proposals will be peer-reviewed through a single-blind review process.
Page limits include all figures, tables, and references. For PhD Forum papers, the page limit is 2 pages, and no extra pages are allowed. Submissions must be in PDF format.
PhD Forum paper title must begin with “PhD Forum: ”.
The PhD Forum paper should include the single PhD student's name, affiliation, and email address. The name of the supervisor should be indicated directly below the author's name using the notation “Supervised by …”.
NCA 2026 is an in-person event
The conference will be in-person and no virtual or remote presentations will be permitted. Authors of accepted papers are responsible to obtain an Italian visa, if required, in a timely manner so as to meet the above expectation. Accepted papers must be presented in person by one of the authors under full registration. Failure to meet this requirement will result in the exclusion of the paper from the final proceedings. All presented papers will be published in the conference proceedings and submitted to the IEEEXplore Digital Library, subject to IEEE approval.
