Call for Participation: Robust Correspondence (Optical Flow, Scene Flow, Stereo Estimation) Challenge @ NeurIPS 2026

Dear colleagues,

High accuracy on clean benchmarks means little if a vision model collapses under rain, blur, noise, or compression. This is exactly what RoCo-Spring is built to change, and we would love for you to be part of it.

We are excited to launch RoCo-Spring: The Robust Correspondence Challenge, an official NeurIPS 2026 Competition Track challenge focused on developing dense correspondence methods that remain accurate under realistic visual shifts.

The challenge is now OPEN!!

Competition Tracks

RoCo-Spring jointly evaluates clean performance on Spring (Mehl et al., 2023) and robustness on RobustSpring (Oei et al., 2026) across three tracks:

  • Optical Flow

  • Stereo Matching

  • Scene Flow

We have made participation as straightforward as possible: register your team, receive a unique team ID, download the datasets, clone the official PTLFlow-based starter devkit, run the provided task-specific pipelines, and submit your predictions.

Challenge details and team registration: https://roco-spring.github.io/participate.html

Official starter devkit: https://github.com/hmorimitsu/roco-spring-devkit

Submission Requirements: https://roco-spring.github.io/evaluation.html#reproducibility

Exploration Track

Parallel to the competition track, RoCo-Spring features an exploration track for rigorous studies of failure modes, robustness, metrics, and model behavior.

Authors are invited to submit high-quality papers presenting original research. Submitted papers will be reviewed based on the criteria of originality, soundness, empirical evaluation, and presentation.

Important Dates

July 20, 2026 Challenge Starts

September 15, 2026 4–6 page workshop paper submission deadline

September 29, 2026 Workshop paper author notification

September 30, 2026 Final quantitative submission deadline

October 7, 2026 Camera-ready paper, code, and reproducibility package deadline

October 15, 2026 Final evaluation, reproducibility checks, and award shortlisting

October 31, 2026 Winners notified and workshop program finalized

December 11 or 12, 2026 In-person NeurIPS Competition Track workshop

If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at roco-sp...@googlegroups.com. We're happy to help.

Whether you want to develop a new method, strengthen an existing model, or investigate why current methods fail under distribution shifts, there is a track for you. We would be delighted to have you join us.

Let's build correspondence methods that work not only on benchmarks but also in the real world.

Best Regards,

The RoCo-Spring Organizing Team
