[Final Deadline Extended: May 25] CFP: 6th Muslims in ML Workshop @ ICML 2026

Apologies for cross-posting.

Following requests from potential contributors, we are pleased to announce that the final submission deadline for the 6th Muslims in ML (MusIML) Workshop, co-located with ICML 2026, has been extended to May 25, 2026 (AOE).

The workshop will take place on July 9, 2026, in Seoul, South Korea. MusIML is an ICML 2026 affinity workshop that connects the global AI/ML community with Muslim researchers, students, engineers, and institutions across the Muslim world. Our goal is to increase the visibility, participation, and long-term impact of Muslim scholars and Muslim-majority regions in global AI communities.

We invite submissions across three tracks:

Track 1: ML research addressing challenges faced by Muslim communities and research related to Islamic contexts.
This track is open to all researchers, regardless of religious or ethnic background.

Track 2: Machine learning research by Muslim authors.
This track welcomes broad ML and AI contributions, including work on LLMs, multimodal models, generative AI, vision, language, speech, audio, reinforcement learning, optimization, privacy, safety, interpretability, robotics, NeuroAI, AI ethics, and machine learning for society.

Track 3: Machine learning competition proposals for social impact in Muslim communities.
We welcome proposals for ML competitions addressing challenges relevant to Muslim communities worldwide.

Submission format:
- Short papers of up to 4 pages, excluding references
- Previously published, under-review, and in-progress work are welcome
- Submissions must be anonymized and will be reviewed in a double-blind process
- Accepted papers will be presented as posters, with selected papers invited for lightning talks

We are also exploring optional archival publication opportunities for selected / invited extended papers, subject to author interest, additional review, publisher requirements, and organizing committee approval.

Limited registration / travel / participation support may be available for selected accepted student presenters, subject to sponsorship and funding availability.

- Final submission deadline: May 25, 2026 (AOE)
- Notification of decision: May 31, 2026 (AOE)
- Camera-ready deadline: June 8, 2026 (AOE)
- Workshop date: July 9, 2026
