We invite submissions to the COLM 2026 Workshop on Deploying AI in Healthcare (DAIH). The workshop will bring together researchers, clinicians, and industry practitioners to discuss the opportunities and challenges of deploying LLMs and VLMs in healthcare.

Submission platform: OpenReview

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Clinical evaluation, safety monitoring, and failure-mode analysis of LLMs/VLMs 

  • Robustness to temporal, institutional, and demographic distribution shifts 

  • Fairness, privacy, governance, and regulatory considerations 

  • Human-AI collaboration and integration into clinical workflows 

  • Deployment case studies, negative results, and post-deployment monitoring


We welcome two types of submissions:

  • Research papers: up to 8 pages, excluding references

  • Deployment case reports: up to 4 pages, excluding references


Accepted papers will be presented at the workshop during COLM 2026 on October 9 in San Francisco.


Important dates:

  • Submission deadline: June 23, 2026 AoE

  • Notification date: July 24, 2026

  • Workshop date: October 9, 2026
