Research Assistants/Engineers & Visiting Research Positions in Trustworthy Medical AI & Human-AI Collaboration at Singapore Management University

Dear All,

 

We are recruiting highly motivated research assistants/engineers (RAs/REs) and short-term visiting researchers to join the School of Computing and Information Systems at Singapore Management University.

 

We develop trustworthy multimodal AI (images/videos + text) for healthcare and study human–AI collaboration to make AI systems usable, reliable, and responsible in real workflows. Current projects involve close collaboration with clinician partners from SingHealth, Singapore General Hospital, and Duke University / Duke-NUS, with opportunities to work on real clinical data and practically relevant research problems.

 

Example project areas include:

• Multimodal image and video understanding
• Vision–language models & multimodal learning for healthcare
• Uncertainty, robustness, and reliability in medical AI
• Clinical documentation intelligence (report generation, Medical VQA)
• Domain Adaptation
• Human-AI collaboration and evaluation in real workflows

 

Position details:

• Research Assistant/Engineer: competitive salary commensurate with experience.
• Visiting Researcher: monthly stipend; minimum duration of six months.
