Dear All,

 

We are recruiting motivated PhD applicants, research assistants/engineers (RAs/REs) and postdoc candidates to join the School of Computing and Information Systems at Singapore Management University.

 

Our group works on trustworthy multimodal AI (images/videos + text) for healthcare and human–AI collaboration in real clinical workflows. Current projects involve close collaboration with clinician partners from SingHealth, Singapore General Hospital, and Duke University / Duke-NUS, with opportunities to work on real clinical data and practically relevant research problems.

 

Example project areas include:

  • Multimodal image and video understanding
  • Vision–language models & multimodal learning for healthcare
  • Uncertainty, robustness, and reliability in medical AI
  • Clinical documentation intelligence (report generation, Medical VQA)
  • Domain Adaptation
  • Human-AI collaboration and evaluation in real workflows

 

Position details:

  • PhD students: scholarship to cover the tuition fees and a monthly stipend.
  • RA/RE applicants: competitive salary commensurate with experience.
  • Postdoc applicants: competitive salary commensurate with experience. Strong candidates should have a solid first-author publication record and the ability to lead independent research directions.
