Dear all,
We are excited to announce the NeurIPS 2026 Workshop on AI-Native Academia: Authorship, Peer Review, and Conference Governance under AI! The workshop will take place December 12-13, 2026, in Atlanta, co-located with NeurIPS
2026 (in-person).
About the Workshop
Academic publishing is becoming AI-native before its governance is ready. Authors draft with LLMs, reviewers summarize with them, and program chairs deploy them for triage and meta-review. This workshop asks how the institutions
of science themselves should change when AI becomes embedded in authorship, review, citation, and publication infrastructure. It convenes the PC chairs of NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, CVPR & MICCAI in an all-PC-chair panel on redesigning AI venues under AI.
