1. JBoss Training & Certification is coming to Australia, commencing in

3. JBoss Innovation Award program - You do not have to be a support
customer to submit. All users are encouraged to show off their
innovative JBoss deployments. Here is a link for more information: In addition, since the
call for papers is closed, this is a great way to potentially win a
free VIP pass to JBoss World Las Vegas. Deadline to submit is this
Wednesday, March 15th, however I am open to extending the deadline one
week to JBUG members until Wednesday, March 22nd.
4. Seam 1.0 Beta 2 is released - As per Gavins Presentation.
5. AS 4.0.4 RC1 is released, this includes EJB3, and has the Java Web
Start Installer. Also you need this for the Seam Beta 2.
6. Hibernate Certification - provides a guarantee that Hibernate, JDBC
driver, and Database Management System work together. Microsoft Inc.
and DataDirect Technologies have completed the certification and there
is a freely available, certified JDBC driver with MS SQL 2005.
7. JBoss jBPM 3.1 released 2006-02-13
8. JBoss Messaging - coming
i. A fully compatible JMS1.1 implementation.
ii. Improve the performance characteristics
iii. Provide better high availability features, such as distributed
destinations, in-memory replication of the messages and transparent
client fail over
iv. Provide a standard JMS API to JGroups. The Serverless JMS design
should allow optional standalone operation.
v. Include other message types, e.g. e-mail, jaxm, etc. turning JBoss
Messaging into a fully distributed and programmable message routing
9. JBoss Labs - check it out. Good place to get started in open
