Below is the obituary for Cayman Naib. Please note that the family would love all guests attending his funeral to wear brightly colored clothing to celebrate his vibrant spirit.
CAYMAN NAIB OBITUARY:
Cayman Juneau Naib, 13, of Newtown Square, died near his home on
Wednesday, March 4, 2015. He was born on June 1, 2001 in Paoli to
Rebecca Malcolm-Naib and Farid Naib. He attended the Montessori
Children’s House of Valley Forge for preschool and kindergarten, and
continued his education at the Shipley School in Bryn Mawr.
Cayman was a proud member of the Shipley Middle School soccer A team, loved mountain biking, and rock climbing. He was an avid reader and a computer whiz. In the 6th grade, Cayman was captain of the blue ribbon Reading Olympics team from Shipley. A good student in school, his poetry had recently been honored in a national poetry anthology for grades 7-9. Cayman was well-loved for his quick smile, easy wit, resourcefulness, numerous high jinks, and for providing staunch support of his friends. To his family, he was a source of endless amusement, occasional challenges, and unbeatable chess.
Cayman is survived by his parents Farid Naib and Rebecca Malcolm-Naib, his sister Savannah, and his dog Shadow. He leaves his maternal grandparents Dr. John and Ann Carol Malcolm of Sunbury, PA and his paternal grandfather Dr. Zuher Naib, of Atlanta, GA. Cayman is also survived by his aunt Ann Malcolm; uncles John Malcolm, Sam Naib, and Dean Naib; cousin Stuart Malcolm; and other loving relatives.
A celebration of Cayman’s life will be held on Saturday, March 14 at Haverford College’s Gooding Arena in the Douglas B. Gardner Integrated Athletic Center at 2:30 pm (Haverford College 370 Lancaster Ave. Haverford PA 19401). Arrangements are being facilitated by Danjolell Memorial Homes in Broomall.
