Hi Keelah,
I guess that depends on how much calico there is. I'm not sure I'll have enough paint there for hundreds of bags, for example. Do the prints need to be on one side or on both?
Calico is easy to cut and rip if it's in a roll or in a large piece. I suppose depending on how much is there, one or two people could do the job. Do we have willing helpers already or is it going to be the two of us? If there are other people about, perhaps the cutting could be done prior to sat? If not, I guess our job on sat will take a bit longer than expected. If that's the case, I could probably get to fairlight at noon, but it would be awesome if u could pls let me know beforehand because I'm meeting a friend for a brekky catchup and would need to reschedule :)

Yay! This is gonna be fun!

Love,
Olya

Hi Keelah,

No probs, I'll put up a 'wanted' for it :)

The screens are in the back office at the co-op, so they just need to be picked up. The fabric needs to be in square pieces, ready to be printed. We don't need lots of people involved, just 2 to print and maybe 1 other person to hang the printed pieces on the line. Once they've dried, someone will need to iron them for the paint to fuse. Then the bags can be sewn. It would be good to have newspaper handy so things don't get too messy, and a flat surface to work on.

I can come by your place around 1 or 2 on sat, if that works for you.

Cheers,
Olya

Hi olya,
don't have excess white thread, but i always look for haberdashery in op shops, don't often find white.

If you have time to come on sat  what do we need to do first. Wash the cloth? leave it in long bits? what would you need me to prepare?
Did nick manage to extricate the screens?
shall i try to find other volunteers? what time would you expect to come????? etc

Thanks Keelah, that would be awesome! Do u have any white thread also? I'm gathering these things for my millinery assignment which is due next week :)

By the way, I got my fabric paints out yesterday and there should be enough there for the grain bags. I can come over on Saturday this week to do a bunch of printing if u like. I have 2 squeegees too.

Love,
Olya

Hi everyone,
Just wondering if anyone has a big piece of cardboard I can use for a poster. I'm after one piece, the type kids use for poster projects at school. I can pick up any day after work.
Thanks,
Oly
