Trustee Nutall is working hard to SAVE TEACHERS and shared many great
ideas for researching the budget issues and advocating for MCHS:

Watch DISD Board meetings online at http://www.dallasisd.org/finoutlook/watch.cfm

Review board meeting agendas at http://www.dallasisd.org/about/boardagendas.htm

Tell DISD how you think the crisis should be handled:
http://www.dallasisd.org/finoutlook/feedback.cfm
See all previous suggestions: http://www.dallasisd.org/finoutlook/responses.cfm

Also, ask questions like do we really need to spend money on
furniture
instead of TEACHERS? Tell them you are watching!

Make suggestions to the Trustees and directly to:

Mr. Markinson's Report Follow up: Please turn in your free & reduced
lunch applications!

Six schools: Booker T. Washington, Townview TAG, Wm. B. Travis
Academy
(but not the Vanguard), Middle College, Stonewall Jackson Elementary
and Lakewood Elementary do not have 40% of students receiving free
and
reduced lunch and are therefore not eligible for Title 1 funds. They
help set the Title 1 averages (a required low of 90% to a high of
110%
per school) but are not measured against the average. The State may
soon alter the ratio to a 6% spread of 97% to 103%
