Happy Holidays from the MCHS PTSA!

Warm holiday greetings! This is the perfect time of year to express
appreciation for special people in our lives. Our wonderful MCHS
staff, teachers, students, parents, and community partners offer
kindness, patience, and challenge us to be the best we can be. Thank
you for the gift of community.

On December 14, 2011, the school hosted a fabulous dinner for both the
Site Based Decision Committee (SBDM) and the PTSA. Parents, students,
teachers, staff, and community partners enjoyed fellowship, food, and
fun. We reflected on the many community service projects our students
recently completed and their outstanding achievements so far this
year, voted on next year's academic calendar, and discussed the future
direction of the PTSA.

The PTSA president also announced that a vote would be held at the
next PTSA meeting to amend the bylaws to raise the local PTSA dues to
match the State and National dues. This would result in a $3
increase for each new member, beginning after the bylaws are amended.
This will not affect current members until next year. If you would
like to vote or have input about this increase, please plan to attend
the next PTSA meeting at 6:00 pm on January 17 @ the MCHS campus.

Thanks again for your commitment to our kids and for making MCHS and
outstanding school. Hope your holidays are filled with warmth, love,
and perhaps a little relaxation as well.
