MCHS needs Title I funds. The only way to get that money is to prove
that more than 40% of MCHS students qualify for free or reduced
lunches. Please fill out and turn in the applications that were sent
home with your student's report card last week so your student can
apply for free or reduced lunch and MCHS can collect more funds for
the school to use. Thanks!

Six schools: Booker T. Washington, Townview TAG, Wm. B. Travis Academy
(but not the Vanguard), Middle College, Stonewall Jackson Elementary
and Lakewood Elementary do not have 40% of students receiving free and
reduced lunch and are therefore not eligible for Title 1 funds. They
help set the Title 1 averages (a required low of 90% to a high of
110%<BR>per school) but are not measured against the average. The
State may soon alter the ratio to a 6% spread of 97% to 103%
