Got a question for you all that just came up today. I have also reached out to the local HUD office looking for answers but I thought I would send it out here also. I know there has been a change in the SuperNOFA application that there can be only one applicant for HMIS dedicated grants. I have a Continuum that I am working with that does an application as the Continuum for the Statewide collaborative but also has two agencies with renewals that have HMIS line items in them. Will it all have to be combined into one or can they have those line items as part of their renewals.
Also, I am assuming that with the renewals that the HMIS line items do not fall into either housing emphasis or services but I am looking for confirmation on that fact. If anyone has any light to shed on this I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Colleen

Baltimore Homeless Services applies for the HMIS dedicated grant for the Baltimore City CoC. None of the sponsoring agencies in our CoC have been allowed to include a HMIS line item in their Exhibit 2 application. So this is not a scenario that we’ve experienced. Sorry I can’t shed any light on this. I actually thought that the regulation has been that only one applicant in a CoC could apply for a HMIS “dedicated” project. Didn’t know how that would work for a statewide collaborative that consists of several continuums. Hope you get clarification for HUD quickly.
