Anurag Harsh was born in India, spent his college years in London and
his working life in the US. He holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School
and an MSE in Management from the University of Pennsylvania (Wharton
School). He has also been a live broadcaster for the BBC and
co-authored a book published by McGraw-Hill.

Anurag Harsh is the winner of the Delhi based finals of the All India
National Music contest organized by the ITC Sangeet Research Academy.
He is known to have among the most powerful voices in the new era of
musicians and can sing effortlessly in all three octaves.

His bhajan "Guruji" has been remixed by leading DJs in Europe and USA
and is perhaps one of the rare classical songs that is widely played at
dance clubs around the world. His music appeals to all generations of
listeners and its the passion and spirit of his performances that draws
the audience into his music. During his 20 years of dedicated music
training Anurag listened and learnt from some of the greatest exponents
of Hindustani music namely Pandit(s) Bhimsen Joshi, Chandrakant Apte
and Kumar Gandharva.

He is among the youngest upcoming vocalists of the new generation and
has performed at leading venues around the world including the Royal
Festival Hall and Nehru Center in London. He also performed at the Ali
Akbar College in San Francisco at the personal invitation of Ustad Ali
Akbar Khan. Anurag has been a strong supporter of propagating
traditional music in an improvised manner to the youth and almost all
of his concerts to date have been done with no financial gain to him.
Anurag completed his Sangeet Alankaar (MA in Music) from Gandharva
University at the age of 17. His first ever live concert was at the age
of 4 when he gave a 45 minute solo performance. He was a regular
featured artist at the All India Radio studios in India and during his
childhood years, was the youngest regularly recorded radio artist on
AIR (at Age 4). Anurag Harsh has a musical repertoire that comprises
over 100 ragas and rhythms, including khayal, trivat, chaturang,
tarana, thumri, bhajan, as well as Urdu, Sanskrit and Sufi poetry plus
scores of other songs. Anurag creates musical experiences that
transcend the listener into another state of enjoyment. For those who
like classical and lighter music, this is a treat. For those who like
rock and pop music, this is even more delightful when it assumes its
full form.
