Prayers for Mac

Hey all, 

Mac asked me to relay this information on his behalf - 

The news is not what we wanted to hear.  He has stage 4 non small cell lung cancer that has spread to his shoulder.  They are going to do further testing to get more specific information for a treatment plan.  Right now, both radiation and chemotherapy are options.  He will be seeing a radiologist on Thursday to start work on developing a plan.  He is going to have a body scan and bone scan to figure out how far and where else it may have spread.

I talked to Mac this evening and he relayed the information about his shoulder, but please also pray about an area they biopsied in one of his lungs.
He didn't tell me not to tell you about the lung issue, but he said it was stage four also.
Patrick and I go back long before flmi was initiated. We've prayed for a lot of folks over these years, but now is the time for everyone to come into agreement and ask the Great Physician to take a mighty role in Mac's treatment and recovery.
In Yahweh's name, I pray.

Yes, I'm sorry I didn't mention about the lungs as well as his shoulder.  Tonight, it sounds as if he's finally getting enough relief to get some good rest.  We know God is in control, and want Him glorified throughout this process.  I will ask for prayer for myself and family in this matter as well - that we can stay strong for both Mac and Thea as they go through this.  I know I will need extra strength and clarity of mind as I step up to be the support staff for them both.  It's not news we wanted to hear, but with His help and healing, we will get through it all with joy and praises on our lips.
