Do you know of Chuck Colson? He is also a felon, from the Watergate scandal. He is a devout Christian that has quite a following and he does much good work for the Lord and His kingdom. Look him up online...I bet his story will encourage you and be a testimony to the Sheriff's office.
 
I guess I should have told you, if I didn't, that I was also a Sheriff's Deputy and a Police Officer/Jailer. I don't know if that would help influence them toward you getting the Chaplaincy position. BTW: Did the letter of recommendation I wrote for you look okay?
