I don't have the source in front of me, but you should be able to see
from hx4700_lcd.c how to turn back on the LCD.

I'll try to think of some more power ideas. There is the MAX power
controller chip that we currently do not configure at all. You can also
try to put the PXA into deep sleep instead of just sleep, as an
experiment. Also, it's possible that the bootldr may have different
settings than hx4700_core.c (but, iirc, the bootldr isn't involved at
all during sleep unless it thinks that there is USB or AC charging going
on, though it may need to wake up once to check those things, and most
certainly will wake up if you plug in AC or USB).
