IMO, grub is far better than xosl. It is also supported by the linux distributors.
Just boot into the installed linux system using the install cd. This is basically called "rescue" mode.
Once booted and you've chrooted to the install path you can execute the following command:
grub-install /dev/hda
Assuming that /dev/hda is your primary master hard drive and is IDE.

I have installed fedora core 1. But somehow grub isn't installed.Now
booting from boot floppy.xosl unable to boot to linux.
1)How to install grub in mbr so that grub start as primary boot
loader. I have tried grub setup hd(0,0) ,grub install command in bash
which installed grub in /boot not in mbr.
2)how to integrate xosl and grub?
