I don't know what the Archdiocese has in mind at the higher levels, but I believe it's time for us little people to speak up.
1. We abhor sexual improprieties of any kind by our religious leaders and we ask that offenders be summarily dealt with by both civil and church authorities.
2. We demand that the Media stop reporting this scandal as if it is unique to the Catholic Church. Guam has a huge problem with child abuse, clergy related cases, although for us, one is too many, are still a tiny fraction of the actual cases.
3. While we understand that there are problems in our Church, we will not stand by and let you drag our Church and our priests through the mud.
4. While we regret the actions of Ray Cepeda that led to his laicization, he still deserves to be respected as a human being and we demand that he be respected.
5. We resent the vindictive actions of Senator Cruz.
KUAM is especially vicious. The scroll at the bottom of their news cast which shows all the horrible things vicious people are texting in is an abomination and a sick use of their news cast.
Perhaps because KUAM helps KOLG, they think they can get away with what they are doing. It doesn't matter. They must be held accountable.
