As I see it, the club owns approx. 160acres. That would in any business or corporation's outlook be considered a valued asset,
I do not think any Sportsmen either camper or shooter can argue this fact.
It then is very important that a club, regardless of whether they are nonprofit or not, utilize its valuable assets to best benefit [ALL] the membership not just a select few, nor have a situation where a select few receive the use of or benefit of this valued resource at less then market value that would have, had it been market value, have gone straight back into the clubs general fund and benefited the entire membership "not just a few" and greatly furthered the interest of the club in total.
There could be an obvious benefit to the sportsmen/sportswomen community in general by subsidizing women and youth programs and events, I don't think any would argue with that. However, It is not in the clubs best interest to subsidize reduced rate camping regardless of crocodile tear excuses of pore widows and orphans, I'm not buying that old yarn!
Your All welcome, one and all, children and adults, and you should expect pay for the club services and assets of which you partake, as everyone should know in life, "everything cost somebody something" and those that truly need help will get it. The club doesn't need to further the "socialist cause"!
Also I would add that whether a sportsman comes to Liberty township to shoot, camp, fish or boat or any of the long list of possibilities, it is there choice. The club did not compel them to spend the time and money and should not be held responsible for there specific economic situation, if I cant afford something I either do not buy it or I find a way to generate the money, I do not count on someone Else's generosity to carry the day!
Thanks for lending an ear.
