Best way to add ground control points to LiGeoreference

How can I use ground control points to improve the point cloud location within LiGeoreference? 

Is there an option that would allow me to import known co-ordinates, and then select the locations of those points in the pointcloud?

When I open a new project, I do see a "GCP adjustment" option in the Adjustment tab on top toolbar - however when the project loads in this option disappears from view and I am left with only the Trajectory adjustment option
