Relationship between LIFt and XDXF

Hi,

I have searched this group with the term 'XDXF' and received no hits.
Can someone please help me with a broad overview of the relationship
between LIFt and XDXF?

From the XDXF website...
"XDXF [XML Dictionary Exchange Format] is a project to unite all
existing open dictionaries and provide both users and developers with
universal XML-based format, convertible to and from other popular
dictionary formats."
