Hello,

I'd like to ask about the relationship between the RNG schema and the
UML (XMI) modeling layer in LIFT: I've been conducting a study on XML
modeling and noticed that there appears to be no system that would allow
for any sort of automatic derivation of RNG schemas from UML, via
whatever route.

Do I think correctly that the lift.rng for each LIFT is tailored by hand
according to the UML (or prose) specifications? In other words, that the
link between UML and RNG is primarily in the mind of the person who
edits RNG?

Note that I am not attempting to evaluate this; it seems close to the
world's only strategy nowadays. I'm just making sure and will be
grateful for any extra comments you care to make regarding this issue.

Best regards,

Piotr

Yes, that is my understanding.
