A while ago Tony (Tye) was playing this really good music at a
dance class, and it turned out to be by pianist Solomon Douglas from
his CD called Swingmatism. Soon after I bought my own copy of that CD,
and it now ranks as one of my favorites. So when I saw that Solomon
Douglas would be playing at the Blues Café in Medford this Friday, I
knew I would be there!
On Swingmatism Douglas plays with a "swingtet," a big band of about
ten pieces, while he'll be at Blues Café with a trio. But I still want
to hear him! (And fwiw, I think this is his first performance at a
Boston-area dance.)
I hope to see some of you folks there, too. See

information.
