I cannot get the SOCKS proxy to work. It has worked fine in the past
but seems to not work after the recent 10.5.6 install. I've tried
reinstalling and also removing the AlmostVPNPro folder from /Library/
Application Support. I have repaired permissions on the volume.

The log file states "AlmostVPNServer[1521:16503] scutil : Fail to get
State:/Network/Global/Proxies.SOCKSProxy"

"org.unknown.socks.ProxyServer startPipe
SEVERE: ProxyServer.startPipe : remote_in == null. s = Proxy:<Computer
Name>.local:0
Version 5;addr:<remote address>,port:<remote port>,localport:0

The SOCKS proxy was nice in that I only needed to define the proxy in
the programs I'm using instead of redefining all of the servers.

How do I fix this?

Which version of AVPN are you using? Is it 1.6pre?

If it is not, then you should try it first.

This is the latest.

Could you please e-mail the whole almostvpn.log file to support at
leapingbytes dot com.

NOTE : this file does not contain any passwords, but it does contain
real ip address(es)/host name(s)/user name(s). If you wish, you can
replace this somewhat sensitive information with placebo.
