My apologies for the long delay since the last email - but I am up and
about again now.
As you may recall the working bee planned for Sunday 28 May was
cancelled because of a slip near where the stormwater drains enter the
head of the gully.
Council has now poured rocks and gravel into the gully floor below the
storm water drains. There still appears to be some minor subsidence
since the road was repaired but the situation looks under control.
However it is a tribute to the work you have all done, that despite the
slip, the gully is looking remarkably good; there were only a few
ginger and queen-of-the-night plants to be seen. Most of the trees we
planted at the last working bee are alive and vertical - although some
have moved down the bank with the dirt.
Next Tuesday, we will meet with Angela and Scott from the North Shore
City Council to talk about ongoing planting plans.
We plan to hold some more weeding bees come springtime to control
invasive weeds and creepers.
We'll be in touch again soon.
Very best wishes, Keith (for the committee)

Also thanks to Terry for putting up the plastic holders for pamphlets
at the park entrances. If there is anything you would like to talk
about, please call Leeanne or myself.
