LP on TV

Hiya guys!

To date, we have one willing participant to appear on the said segment! that would be KC of chefKC and hopefully, everything turns out good.  Over the past 3 days, I have been doing some correspondences with the segment producer, Mr. Carrascal and in our last email exchange, he said:

1.    he will contact the said participant asap [any update KC?]
2.    he would like to feature Manangkusinera's bibingka cake too[what do you think ManangK?]

Now, regarding #2, assuming ManangK gives her go on using her recipe [emailed her and still awaiting her response]…do you have any suggestions on how we can go about this since she is based here in the States too…

Any other brave takers? Going…going…

Lastly…

LasangPinoy.Sundays [La.Pi.S] Theme for Week #2: DESSERTS!  [what else? haha!] who knows you [those who are in Manila especially] might come up with something until the last day of shoot which is I suspect, Friday the 27th?

P.S. Thanks for all the well-wishers and just to let you know, we only have 27 registered members in this mailing list and so i'm afraid not all are aware of this issue yet,  so please if you have anyone in mind, not necessarily you...may i request that you pass the word around and if you can give that someone a call, that would be very much appreciated...

P.S.S.  Would announcing La.Pi.S. weekly theme through this mailing list acceptable or shall i make another one specifically for this? let me know!

hi Bryan,

thanks for the heads up! yes, Lasang Pinoy, Sundays is more on photography this time...
in the announcement i promised to make a monthly round-up in the our LP website, i just can't promise doing a weekly one as of yet, i can try posting the first one though tomorrow in my website...but if there's someone who knows an easy way on doing that, why not!;)

UPDATE on LP on TV:
I had a nice chitchat with ManangK this afternoon and she gladly gave the go signal....now WHO WANTS TO TAKE ON THIS OP? someone who wants to cook up her recipe...she has just one simple note though...

definitely! pero sana they will take note of my mistake there in incorporating the macapuno with the icing to sandwich b/w the layers of cake kasi it made the icing runny....so dapat pure macapuno na lang yung filling, then pure icing  to cover the cake.

UPDATE:

Hi Ces,

 

Our E.P. has finalized the list... we'll be getting Chef KC's Tropical Fruit Fritters in Calamansi Butter Sauce. But we asked her to do Manang Kusinera's Bibingka Cake as well. My new researcher Patricia sent Chef KC the recipe this afternoon. Will check with her tomorrow. But I guess she's willing.

 

We've limited the list to two food blog recipes (this is for home-made), and two existing restaurant recipes which we're coordinating now locally. So I guess we're okay with Chef KC. Sorry, I would have to cut short with the interested bloggers like Kai. They merged the other segment on native "kakaibang" desserts with my segment so we'll be including santol de leche and chilli ice cream as well... So I guess I have a total of six already for an eight-minute segment. Sheesh... sorry if nabulabog ko ang food bloggers-dom.

 

Anyway, I'm asking permission as well we shall be incorporating your Lasang Pinoy website, so I might be taking a video of the screen with the blog. Maybe we'll do it at Chef KC's during our shoot with her so we can get the connection of the site and her as a blogger.

 

To top it all, despite my apologies for not notifying you at once on the limits of featured desserts of our segment, I'm thanking you so much for the interest you've shown for our segment, as well as all the efforts you reached out to us.

 

Will be updating you on our shoot with Chef KC. I guess we'll be bringing our host Miriam Quiambao to our shoot with her.

 

Last question: can we interview Chef KC about Lasang Pinoy on your behalf and Manang Kusinera as well?
