City Update:
Mayor Bruce Harrell announced his proposal to expand the Community Assisted Response and Engagement (CARE) department behavioral health responder team, hiring additional responders and expanding citywide, seven days a week following the success of the
dual dispatch pilot launched last October. Data from the pilot has shown through hundreds of emergency dispatch calls that CARE responders were able to safely assist community members in need
Transportation Update:
The City is making changes on NE 130th St, Roosevelt Way NE, and NE 125th St from 1st Ave NE to east of Lake City Way NE. These changes will make it safer and easier for people walking, biking, rolling, and taking the bus in the area. It will also help people get to the
future light rail station at NE 130th St near I-5. Sound Transit expects 90% of light rail riders to get to the new station by walking, biking, or taking transit. Read more about the project here
Development Updates:
You have likely seen the newly constructed housing on the north side of 125th Ave NE as you head toward 15th Ave NE. Once the location of the Saint George Episcopal Church, it is now 9 new 3+ bedroom homes called “Thornton Creek Commons”. Described as a new “pocket neighborhood” by the Cottage Company who developed the property, more information on the developer can be found here:
The Cottage Company. Houses are listed at around $1.3M. The Zillow listing for one of the properties is here:  2222 NE 125th Street, Seattle, WA 98125 | MLS #2228803 | Zillow

A new complex, Bode 145 is to open in the next 4 weeks, which is 71 units of affordable and some market rate housing, is located at 14337 32nd Ave NE.
