More bus trips coming to the Eastside & Seattle

A Metro bus arrives at a station.

Starting Aug. 30, Metro is adding over 900 weekly bus trips to better serve Eastside communities and improve connections to 2 Line light rail stations. We're also adding service in Seattle on Route 106, which connects Chinatown-International District to Mount Baker, Rainier Beach, Skyway and Renton.

King County is helping protect Camp Sealth on Vashon Island so kids can keep learning and exploring in nature. We also worked with partners to reopen Camp Kilworth in Federal Way and support Waskowitz Outdoor Education Center in North Bend. Part of our efforts to preserve open space and expand outdoor learning opportunities!

County and community leaders have a discussion around a table.

Last week, I brought together leaders from the county, cities, law enforcement and public health for a roundtable discussion on the justice system. As part of my 200-day plan, I wanted to hear directly from those who are impacted and work in criminal justice, including community members, to help better inform King County's budget process and find ways to collaborate.
