A must read investigation from KUOW about Seattle's pedestrian safety crisis. https://www.kuow.org/stories/pedestrian-deaths-climb-in-seattle-despite-city-s-pledge-to-eliminate-them

Why are there more people being killed while walking?
"Two factors were especially significant: larger vehicles and faster driving. Both are increasingly common on Seattle’s roads."

Who is being most harmed?
"Seattle's underserved communities have more than their fair share of these most dangerous roads."

What can we do about it?
"Changes to road design — including narrowing roads, building protected bike lanes, and converting intersections to roundabouts — can decrease vehicle speed, volumes, and conflict points with pedestrians."

Also, great coverage of the Aurora Reimagined Coalition with quotes from Tom — congrats!
