Thanks for rekindling this group and effort! I’d like to join, time willing.I’d like to see more sidewalks connected that end suddenly. For example putting one in to connect 30 Ave NE to the sidewalk starting near/ in front of Toyota of Lake City, to Cedar Park. Also, creating some bike lanes that safely get bikers to the Burke Gilman in Lake City. Thanks,

I’m concerned about two blocks that connect 35th Ave NE to the Stay Healthy Street on 37th Ave NE. A lot of families with kids pass by on these blocks and they’re not good for walking. Improving them is important to give easier access to the Stay Healthy Street and to Cedar Park playfield and school.
I’m going to the city’s walking tour this afternoon to point out these problem blocks.
Would be great to see Lake City Greenways revitalize. We’re so grateful for all the work this group did that gave us our Stay Healthy Streets.

Hi Muriel,I would like to add my thanks for rekindling this group. I will add an area of concern. The 2 blocks on the west side of 30th Ave NE from NE 145th Street to the bus stop south of NE 143rd St really need a sidewalk. Since the southbound bus stop is on that side of the street, it's not uncommon for people to just walk along the edge of the road for those two blocks instead of crossing to the east side to use the sidewalk and then cross back again to the bus stop. It's super dangerous because there isn't a good bike line or much of a shoulder. Thanks again!Marnie Cannon

I'm also interested. Thank you for getting this started!I'd like to second Maia's ideas, especially making 115th safer for kids walking to/from school. 115th from sand point to 35th would be great to get sidewalks on. Having sidewalks ON sand point would also be very helpful.I'd also like to see more safe ways to get folks down to the Burke Gilman trail (bike paths and sidewalks)
