Hey folks,

Do you know who you are voting for to represent you at city hall next year? There are four important Seattle races this year:
  • Mayor
  • The two citywide city councilmembers (positions 8 and 9)
  • District 2 city councilmember for SE Seattle (a special election because Tammy Morales resigned)
Both the City Council and the mayor have a big impact on our shared vision. The city council sets the budgets and writes laws, while the mayor has a lot of power to decide what projects to build and how to build them.

Seattle Neighborhood Greenways is a 501c3 nonprofit, which means we cannot tell you who to vote for to make every neighborhood a great place to walk, bike, roll, and live. However we can host a candidate forum where people running tell you what their vision is — as we're doing that this Wednesday evening with a bunch of partners. See more details below. We hope you'll join us!

Seattle Mobility and Housing Candidate Forum

Wednesday, June 4, 6:00 - 8:30 pm
Centilia Cultural Center (Beacon Hill)
ASL interpretation provided
RSVP: https://tinyurl.com/CandidateForumSea2025

Join a wide coalition of advocacy and community groups for a Seattle Candidate Forum featuring candidates running to represent you as Mayor, Citywide City Councilmembers, and District 2 City Councilmember.

As our city faces pressing challenges and opportunities in the years ahead, this forum is your chance to hear directly from those seeking to lead Seattle forward. This evening will focus on two of the most critical issues impacting Seattle residents: housing and transportation. Candidates will share their visions, policy priorities, and strategies to ensure all Seattleites have access to affordable housing, safe and sustainable transportation options, and a city that works for everyone.

The forum will be moderated by Crystal Fincher (Hacks and Wonks, KVRU 105.7 FM) and include moderated questions, audience Q&A, and opportunities to compare how each candidate plans to address the interconnected crises of affordability, mobility, and equity.

Candidates running to represent District 2 will take the stage first at 6:00 pm. People interested in hearing only from the candidates running to represent the entire city can plan to arrive later, at 6:45 pm. District 2 includes Chinatown-International District, Yesler Terrace, Beacon Hill, Rainier Valley, Mount Baker, Columbia City, and Rainier Beach (Find your District).

Whether you're a longtime resident or new to the area, your voice matters—come learn, engage, and make an informed choice.
