i hope this post finds all of you happy healthy & wise. it is a long
time in coming as i have been pre-occupied for awhile with work, life &
the holidays. it was nice to finally see xmas lighting on those
remaining forlorn town green trees outside MayorJoeSully's Pu-Pu
Palace. the Obama Stimulas money must has just arrived to pay the wage
& electricity to rig the lighting, then power 'em up. it's nice to have
such friends in high places. the past year flew by and i'm sorry to
say it would take some time to succinctly
summarize the town's state of affairs. i will shorten things this way;
2010 is the beginning of a new decade. here's to all thing's
Braintree! as i peer through my window toward the big 5-0, time is
speeding up and many things are being left undone. the town on Joe's
watch is progressing at a snail's pace.some might see that as a good
thing.
one thing is certain; town meeting is backward history. i say we keep
it in the rear view mirror where it belongs. going forward please
someone ask why i need to call town hall to remind somewhere there to
get the sidewalk plow moving. it should be understood that any citizen
should expect to be able to walk not in fear of being rundown as they
journey to work in the early predawn hours on the road to the T.
simple decent townie rights. thankfully today the plow came by. score
one for the sensible squeaky pain in the arse! as i close this
abbreviated thought here's hoping joe continues to accomodate all of
us, not just the lucky 3000 that got him elected. be well & take care.
