Hello Jeff,

I didn't see your earlier email.  I'd be happy to hook up to bring local teachers to speak at the Clinton.  I'm thinking about the Social Equality Educators who were key organizers in the successful Reynolds district strike last year and are now in leadership if the Portland Association of Teachers, involved in a contract struggle.

What is the movie you are thinking about?

Greetings volunteers of Labor Radio!

The board & some volunteers have planned a monthly movie night at the Clinton Street Theater as a benefit for KBOO.  This started in January, and will be monthly throughout this year.

Next month, long-time volunteer and new board member Jeff Kipilman is organizing the movie night.  He has selected a movie on the labor struggle of teachers, and the propaganda put out to thwart it.  He'd like to be in touch with the labor radio producers to see if someone would be able to come to the movie night and be part of a presentation around the film, tying KBOO into the relevance of the larger labor struggle through our programming. 

I hope someone has the time to work with Jeff on this project. I've copied Jeff in this email, so you can be easily in touch with him.

I'm guessing when we say "teachers" we automatically think K-12, but we also have a multitude of college teachers, especially community college--especially part-time/adjunct--who are also struggling.  PCC had several instructors involved with Occupy Portland, as well, and I could round some of them up.  If the film is K-12 focused that might not be useful, but I thought I'd mention it.
