Brothers and Sisters,

I spoke with Brother Bill Zimmerman last night at the JwJ dinner.  It's true.  After 13 years he's done with Labor Radio.

I propose we have a potluck party/ meeting to celebrate Bill's stellar work over the years and to brainstorm about possible new collective members, particularly women and people of color.

Sunday evenings are best for me.  Kevin's backyard?

Lane and Tim - are you interested in a more regular gig?

Solidarity!

Lane and I love Fifth Monday Labor Radio
and will never give it up!

But Michael Morrow and Mark Schwebke are two very real candidates.
Michael has a lot of airtime and is popular with our listeners...

And Mr. Schwebke is sharp, cutting edge, on the "Mark,"
and ready to debunk the junk!

(And either or both of them could partner up with women, people of color,
or other activists, organizers, and members of the 99%...)

How bout it you guys... we need ya!  First Monday is open!

When is the Potluck, Sunday May 20th?

"... When our days become dreary with low-hovering clouds of despair,
and when our nights become darker than a thousand midnights,
let us remember that there is a creative force in this universe,
working to pull down the gigantic mountains of evil,
a power that is able to make a way out of no way
and transform dark yesterdays into bright tomorrows.
Let us realize the arc of the moral universe is long but it bends toward justice."

Michael Morrow responded and is interested.  He would make a great host... and I am sure his
guests and topics would be diverse....He will attend our potluck... whenever it may occur..
He will be out of town between June 6 and June 29....

Once again this is not necessary.

Please have your meeting without me and enjoy!

So when and where do we meet? This Sunday in Kevin's backyard?
Monday night at the station after the show, or elsewhere another time?
Mike Crenshaw is an incredible resource. Michael Morrow can provide
deep resources, experience, radio skills, and savvy.  Perhaps a great
partnership.  (The Alliance Backyard BBQ* is available as well)
