I'm sorry I missed the meeting Saturday - I suffered an operator
headspace and timing failure. It'll probably happen again.

What came out of the discussion on finding a permanent home? I'm a
member of OMARC, a ham radio group that uses the Diana site at Evans.
It's a great deal - we have a fenced in facility, with meeting
rooms, a lab, and a radio station. As a group, we have put a lot of
work into the site, clearing weeds, painting, putting up storm windows,
antennas, etc. I don't know, but Fred is probably suggesting room in
the Hotel, which would work well, I think. Probably not as much
autonomy, but not as much facilities work, either.

At any rate, I was excited to learn about this group from the LUG/IP
folks at TCF, and am looking forward to meeting you all at VCF and the
next LUG@JS meeting.

Mike,

Myself, I'm partial to having the LUG set up at InfoAge for the very reasons that you describe in your email. That pioneer feeling of building a home from scratch. I'm not so sure we have enough members to get anything ambitious underway, however.

I'll be a VCF...................look for me near the hotdog stand, as I will probably be helping Conrad Deblasio staff the stand.

If we don't meet there, DO attend a LUG meeting. Be nice to meet.

Glenn
