This site may no longer be operating at this point but I could not resist, one last time, publicly ruminating over Donald T.    The most recent posts had suggested that fretting over Trump was a waste of time.   That Barr was probably okay.    That talking about Donald had become tiresome.

 

If you look at what Putin did in Poland, you can see the plan and how it works.    First you appoint your own people to the courts.  Then you put your own people into the most powerful positions in the government.  It worked in Poland.  What Hitler and Stalin could not accomplish through war, Putin may well be able to accomplish without bloodshed.   At first.

 

We hang on, it appears, by a thread.   The pikes are being sharpened and Robespierre is feeling proud.   Jason would be taunting the naïve:  “Stay tuned,” he would say:   “I told you so.”

Thanks, Doug.  I'm not so dottie as it may seem.  Aol normally would come up with twoLTpeace options, one of which does not work.  Last time, it came up with six, none of the usual and one went direct to Harrisburg PA.  The normal address didn't seem to be on the screen, so I sent to five addresses, not knowing which would work, if any.  Then a tree branch fell on the Fios line and computer, TV, etc. all went out of service for a day!  Seems to be a 16th Century Great Chain of Being cloud hovering over my head.
