La Trobe Islamic Society: AGM

Assalamu alaikum,

 

The Annual General Meeting is a chance to provide feedback as to how the La Trobe Uni Islamic Society can improve, and it will also give you the opportunity to share any ideas and suggestions for events and activities to be organised throughout the year.

This will be particularly important for international students to attend. The LTUIS Committee would like to know how students are coping  in terms of accommodation, food, transport, and other services and expenses.

Please spread the word as it is important to us that we hear from as many of you at the meetings:

As of this year, students need to pay an annual fee of just $5 to become a member of any Club or Society. Students can pay at the AGM. We will allocate a few other days to collect membership payments for those who can't attend the AGM. The money directly supports the society so that we can hold events, maintain supplies in the prayer room, hold iftar nights during Ramadan and pay for other expenses related to running the Islamic Society.
