Assalamu alaykum

The La Trobe Uni Islamic Society would like to wish you all Ramadan Mubarak! the blessed month of Ramadan has finally approached us, may our deeds bring us closer to The King of all worlds and may He bestow mercy and blessings upon us. May he accept all our dua's and forgive our sins. In this month of generosity and mercy, please remember those who are are less fortunate than us, and make du'a for them as well as the rest of the Ummah.

LTUIS will be holding iftars Monday to Friday. Every year many brothers and sisters donate money to help us provide these iftars, or organise the food for a particular day. If you would like to organise iftar for one of the days, please email us at: lt...@hotmail.com

"If you feed the one who is fasting you will have the same reward as them without diminishing their reward"

Taraweh prayers will also be held Monday to Friday at 7.25:

Abu  Hurayrah  (R)  reported  that  the  Messenger  of  Allah  (peace be upon him)  said,  “Whoever  performed
Ṡalah  (prayers)  at  night  in  it  (the  month  of  Ramadan)  with  sincere  faith,  and  hoping  for  a
reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven.”  -Sahih Bukhari & Muslim

Donations for iftars can be put into our donation boxes in the prayer room or can be made to this account:
