I have finally located the more or less local representative for the Obama campaign.  Her area is the Markey district and she advised me there was no specific Obama campaign rep for Lincoln.   

 

I have exchanged two messages with her - to introduce myself, to tell her how interested we are in developing an Obama campaign presence in Lincoln, and suggesting ways we might benefit each other.

 

She said it might help if we could identify an Obama campaign contact person or two on the committee.  Does anyone want to volunteer for that?  Until we name someone, I told her that I would be that person.

 

My first thought was to see if she could send a speaker to one of our meetings (maybe her?).  We would then submit an article about it to the Lincoln Journal.  I asked for promotional materials such as pole signs that could be used as people are arriving (outside of course) for the Town Meeting on March 24.  I am trying to get the Senate candidates to do the same.

 

I also mentioned how I am trying to collaborate with adjacent towns of Concord, Lexington, Bedford, and Westin so we could leverage any promotional activity. 

 

Until she and I talk a little further and find a contact person, I think it would be best for me to be that contact.   Please send me any thoughts and/or suggestions you might have and/or want to communicate to her and I'll send them and forward any replies.
