Note to LDTC members:

My name was not on the slate that was sent to the Town last year since I was not a member at that time. As a result, my name is not on tomorrow's ballot.

If you wish for me to continue, you will need to write my name in as directed on the ballot.  This will be in the blank spaces at the bottom of the column with names of the other LDTC slate members.

Thanks, Gary Davis

To LDTC Membership

I have been planning agendas for regular meetings.  I have not yet confirmed a venue we can use regularly but more than likely it will be Bemis.  Bemis is only available on Saturdays or Sundays.  I have the following agenda topics so far, but would appreciate your additional suggestions and response.

Calendar of Meeting Agendas and Events

1.  March 10: 2012 Public Policy Forum. Framingham State College, Dwight Performing Arts Center, 100 State Street, Framingham.  RSVP to pol...@massdems.org or call Clare Kelly at (617) 939-0800

2.  LDTC Meeting, date TBD in late March: Young Democrats of Massachusetts - a presentation by Elaine Almquist.  "Young" is defined as anyone under 36 years of age.  I will produce a list of Lincoln Democrats under 36.  Also presentation by Grandmothers for Obama by Betsy Hatfield and Peggy Smertzler.  Intiate voter registration drive.

3.  March 24: Lincoln Town Meeting.  Needed candidates and volunteers to hold signs at beginning of Town Meeting.  Committee members advocating certain candidates, push candidates to provide posters.

4. April 2: Congressman Barney Frank talk - Monday, April 2nd at 7:00 p.m.. Weston Middle School, Amy Potter Center, 456 Wellesley Street, Weston hosted by the Weston Democratic Town Committee. I believe other candidates will be available in the lobby prior to start of the event. Flier to follow.

5.  LDTC Meeting, date TBD in late April: Discussion of U. S. Senate candidate qualifications and positions.  Candidates or their representatives will be invited.  If candidates or their designated representatives cannot attend, their advocates within the LDTC will present.  Date TBD in late April.

6.  LDTC Meeting, date TBD in late May: Discussion and planning for delegate convention attendance.  Update on candidate status.

7.  June 2: Democratic convention

8.  LDTC Meeting, date TBD in late June: Massachusetts State Senate candidate forum.  Date dependson candidate schedules.

9.  August 17: Deadline to register to vote in the State Primary.

10.  September 6: Massachusetts State Primary

11. LDTC Meeting, date TBD in September after the Primary: Discussion and planning for overall strategies, initiatives and activities for the General Election.

12. October 17: Deadline to register to vote in the General Election.

13. November 6: General Election.

Requests of Members

Please provide me with campaign activities you would be comfortable performing such as telephone canvassing, holding signs, voter registration, driving elderly voters to polls, other (be specific).

Thanks, Gary Davis

Please forward this to LTDC members that you know are not in the LTDC Google Group,  and they should send an email to <av...@alum.mit.edu> putting "Invite me" in as the subject.

I can probably host a couple of meetings at my house at 142 Chestnut Circle if it will be no more that the members we had at the library.

Jean,

I am waiting on candidates to provide signs.  So far, nothing.  Tom Larkin advises me that its their job.

I have asked Marisa for a sign or two and she will provide them to me.  Don't know about the other candidates.  You're right, it is up to the candidates; not you, to get them to us.

If you talk with Marisa's team, mention the candidate forum shown on the calendar Avram distributed.  I hope to notify them all - maybe some will come.

Thanks, Gary
