Meeting with CPD about crossing guard

Hi all,

We have scheduled a meeting with representatives from the 20th District regarding the closure of our corner. Details are below. We NEED anyone/everyone who crosses at Ainslie/Lincoln & Western OR who lives west of the school to try to attend. We are aware this is right after our back to school night, but we are trying to convince the CPD to act now.

Our sole goal is to get a guard reinstated at the corner for the 2012-13 school year. We have been diligent in expressing our concerns about the safety of the families who cross daily & can provide data about increased numbers since last year. We believe those numbers differ significantly from the data in which the decision to close it was based & may justify a reversal in the closure. 

Please do your best to attend this important meeting & kindly pass this email on to anyone who is affected by this situation. You can also help by signing this letter of support, particularly if you can't be there on the 7th. We will present the letters to Officer Vasquez that evening. Please bring the signed letter on the 7th or just drop it in the school office with Lee Valdez addressed "Crossing guard letter".
