State of the Chronicle

After taking sometime to talk to ST's and General Members alike I have come up with a plan for our current chronicle.  First off, No there is not going to be a reset.  While it was discussed, albeit briefly, it was decided we don't need to start over, we just need to get things moving with what we have.  

 

So what are we going to do?

 

The message I heard over and over again was, "We want more Global Plots".  People have characters and local games but nothing is really going on to tie everyone into a real Global Game.  So I have been working with my staff and we are in the process of creating those stories you want to see.  We all know that White Wolf is not going to be writing any more

books for this the "Old World of Darkness", however we have a plethora of source material to work with.  We have decided we are going to bring our game into the most currently Time Line.   Now before you start getting worried, no we are not running a "Year of Fire".  However, expect to see in all venues a darker feel.  Your characters should soon be realizing that this is indeed the "End Times".   

 

How long is the going to last?  Well we are already discussing long term Metaplot ideas that will run for at least 2 years.  I can easily see our chronicle lasting for at least another 5 years or longer.  There really does not have to be any limitation.

 

What kind of stories can you expect to see?  We know that this game appeals to many different styles of play and we intend on creating plots that will interest all those many and wonderful types of play.  Some will be more intrique heavy, others will be centered out social/political events, and more will appeal to those who like to partake in some action and adventure.  Many will likely appeal to many playstyles at once.  I don't want to go into specifics and risk ruining suprises, but this is a Global game after all, so expect big things and expect to be a part of it all.

 

Now we are going to be getting these new stories out in several different ways.  Among them will be plotkits for your local Storytellers as well as Globally Ran Online Events.  The Online Events will also provide opportunities to take the story back to your local games as well.

 

So keep your eyes on this spot for upcoming online events.  Events will be ran for all active venues. 

Now as you know we are going through a "conversion process" this gives you the opportunity to get some free xp on your characters to help give you a little boost for all the interesting storylines and action coming your way!  Please take advantage of this.  Also note, that only characters that go through the conversion process will continue to be Sanctioned after February 22nd.  After that if you have not completed the converstion process you will need to make a new character.
