You need to give more information, screen shot, log messages, etc. And I suggest to contact your support.

Hi Debi,
I am also facing the same issue. Please let me know if you were able to find the solution to the problem?

My issue is : i am recording Loadrunner script using SAPGUI protocol. LR version - 11.0 and SAPGUI : 7.3.
I recorded a script to create an account. During this process, user selects a combobox and selects a value from dropdown. But during replay, Vugen throws an error :

Type_desc.c(96): Notify: Parameter Substitution: parameter "Account_Group" =  "Current Liabilities"  // value i am selecting from dropdown

Notify: Found SapGui component by ID "usr/subTABSTRIP:SAPLATAB:0100/tabsTABSTRIP100/tabpTAB01/ssubSUBSC:SAPLATAB:0200/subAREA1:SAPLGL_ACCOUNT_MASTER_MAINTAIN:2102/cmbGLACCOUNT_SCREEN_COA-KTOKS"

Type_desc.c(96): Warning: Could not find combobox entry by value "Current Liabilities"

Type_desc.c(96): Error: Failed to select combobox entry "Current Liabilities"

This is the recording snapshot:

                sapgui_select_combobox_entry("Current Liabilities",

                                cmbGLACCOUNT_SCREEN_COA1,

                                "CLIA",

                                BEGIN_OPTIONAL,

                                                "AdditionalInfo=sapgui1034",

                                END_OPTIONAL);

Please let me know if someonehas faced the same issue and what was the solution for the same.

Thanks!

hi,

yes we hv faced such kind of challenges in sap gui .
we have resolved by picking the combo values by control id
pass the control id in if else logic on that request and it.works

check nd share.
thanks,
Taran

Hi Taran,
Thanks for your reply. However, would it be possible to provide more information on the same like how to parameterise the control id. an example of how you resolved it would be a great help.
i checked lr_strings.h and this is what i can see for the combobox:

const char* cmbGLACCOUNT_SCREEN_COA1=

                                "usr/subTABSTRIP:SAPLATAB:0100/tabsTABSTRIP100/tabpTAB01/ssubSUBSC:SAPLATAB"

                                ":0200/subAREA1:SAPLGL_ACCOUNT_MASTER_MAINTAIN:2102/"

                                "cmbGLACCOUNT_SCREEN_COA-KTOKS";

Sorry for asking so many details however, i do not have any prior experience with SAP perf testing.

Hi Shweta,

Did you ever resolve this?

I have a similar issue where I can set focus on the combo box with the controlid, but the recorded entry key cannot be found when trying to set the selection on the combo box.

Cheers,
Hamish

Just came across this which worked for me http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/LoadRunner-Support-Forum/Load-Runner-11-records-objects-of-SAP-ERP-6-0-but-fails-to-run/td-p/5923373#.UvMU1z3WK8M

Add the SAPgui folder to your Path environment variable. Seems bizarre to me that this is the solution to combo boxes not being selected correctly (everything else works fine), but it works.

Cheers,
Hamish

Hi Hamish, I had spoken to HP at that time and this is the solution. It resolved my prob
The path can be in caps as well... Something like below

The Workaround provided by SAP for the time being is:

Open the machine's System Properties.
Go to "Advanced" tab.
Click on "Environment Variables" button.
If there is no variable name "Path", create one (note: case sensitive).
Set the value or cascade using ';' the SAPgui path. For example:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\FrontEnd\SAPgui"
Restart Vugen.
